Safety & listing rules

Slosh is for things a stranger can safely turn up to. Every listing must be at a venue, business or public place with a real, published address — never a private home. That's what keeps both the people attending and the people hosting safe.

• Live, public events, classes, gigs, shows, markets, meet-ups, sports sessions, walks, talks and activities — morning, daytime or night, free or paid.
• Recurring classes and weekly sessions, on the subscription plan.
• Free events are welcome — say so and they'll show up when someone asks for cheap or free things.
• Events for children or families must be run by an identifiable organisation or venue that takes responsibility for safeguarding.
• 18+ events are fine as long as they're clearly marked in the title or description.

• Private gatherings, invite-only events, or anything held at a home address.
• Static adverts: menus, opening hours, "we're open daily", product promotions, recruitment or sales pitches.
• Misleading prices, wrong addresses, or images that aren't yours to use.
• Anything illegal, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or that promotes harm, hate or dangerous activity.
• Events aimed at children that don't meet basic safeguarding expectations, or adult-only events not clearly marked as such.
• Ticket links that go anywhere other than a genuine booking page (affiliate redirects, link farms, malware).
• Duplicate listings of the same event to game search results.

• Slosh is a search tool. It doesn't run, vet, insure or sell tickets to any event, and it doesn't check listings before they go live.
• Times, prices, parking, step-free access, dietary options and whether dogs or children are welcome are all supplied by the organiser. Confirm with the venue before you travel or pay, especially if access matters to you.
• Live listings are locked once published: organisers can add short updates (sold out, time changed, cancelled) but can't swap one event for another.
• You attend events at your own risk, as you would with any event you found elsewhere. The organiser is responsible for the event itself.

Every card has a flag button. Anyone can report a listing without signing in.

• One report flags the listing for the Slosh team.
• Reports from two different devices hide the listing automatically until a moderator has looked at it.
• Moderators can restore a listing, keep it hidden, delete it, or suspend the organiser. Every action is logged.
• Organisers who are suspended lose the ability to post or edit, and all their listings are hidden from search.

• Slosh doesn't vet organisers. Check the venue or organiser's own site before you pay for anything.
• Pay through the organiser's official ticket page — never by bank transfer to an individual you don't know.
• Tell someone where you're going, especially for small or unfamiliar venues.
• Children should only attend with a responsible adult unless the organiser clearly says otherwise.
• If something at an event feels wrong or unsafe, leave, and report the listing so we can look into it.
• In an emergency always contact local emergency services first.

There are no accounts for people searching, so saved events are kept on the device you saved them on — nothing is sent to us. When you open Slosh again it checks your saved listings for organiser updates and cancellations and shows them on the card. Clearing your browser data or switching phones clears your saved list; share the event link to keep it somewhere else.
